No two days are ever the same for me. The best way to describe my job is that I solve lots of little problems that complete a puzzle. Most days I start by checking my emails to see if there have been any problems overnight.

I work with a lot of people from overseas, so while I'm sleeping they are working. I'm always at meetings, including teleconferences where I talk to people all around the world. These are mostly to discuss the status of the problems and what we can do to reduce their impact. I have the technical people explain the problems to me and then I'm responsible for putting these problems in language that non-technical people will understand.

Apart from going to meetings, I also write lots of documents. These documents explain where the project is at, the benefits of doing this project and who is involved. These documents are often hundreds of pages long and require lots of input from other people, which means I get to meet lots of people and make new friends.
