I love the fact that I never quite know what each day will bring with my work! This is truly the world of IT. Every day begins with a large skim cappuccino - either in a café catching up with a colleague and confirming the status of projects and other opportunities, or sitting at my laptop reading through my emails and catching up on IT news on the internet. Most days involve being in the office and working closely with my team. I love working in the office as I find I learn so much from my colleagues and the other people around me. However, when there is a deadline or detailed work I need to do, I am very fortunate to be able to work from home. Working from home also allows me to catch up on some on-line training as I try to keep across new technologies and advancements.
Once the day is over, my true 'wind down' activity is a walk along the beach and when the weather is kind, a swim! I am also very fortunate to be able to do more study and weekends are often spent doing just that. But I don't mind, as this makes me appreciate the time I do have off!
