What I love about my job is that every day is different. I work in the Sydney CBD. I love working in the city and dealing with different people every day.

A typical day would include a few meetings. In management meetings we work out strategies for the team, provide status updates and determine which projects our team members will work on. I may attend a prioritisation forum where the business tells IT which pieces of work they want us to attend to. I also regularly meet with my staff and work through their progress and deal with any issues they may have. IT is a 'service provider'to the business, which means that we have to excel in customer service.

I spend a lot of my time meeting with business stakeholders (our 'clients') and working out how we can best implement system changes to make their lives easier.

My job is not at all technical - in fact, it's more social than anything! I have two young children and I have to balance my work with my family. While it can be very tiring, it's very rewarding and I love coming to work in the morning.
