My days primarily consist of authoring and updating content for the company website. I also get to design web graphics and create layouts.

Any content that needs to be added to the website I must quality check before making it live. There is constant revision of the site's information architecture, usability features and search engine optimisation techniques.

The shift towards Web 2.0 technologies keeps you on your toes because you want to make sure you are on top of what's new so that you can use it in your own website work. I also oversee the management of ongoing web projects, which involves liaising with the IT and marketing departments as well as external vendors.

After being at a computer all day I try not to get on one when I get home! A bit of TV watching and then it's time for sleep.
